I thought stereo recording wasn't possible but I noticed that there's an option to record both 2 and 3 at the same time in the audio section. Using the mic I recoded voice and guitar (at the same time) and it did record to 2 and 3!!

yes, but...April 5 2002, 8:40 PM

But did you have the guitar plugged into the line in, or were you just using the buit-in mic to record both voice and guitar to two tracks?

I would love to record stereo: the built-in mic on track 2, and the line in guitar on track 3.

Keep us posted.

Well,
I was recording voice and guitar (at the same time, doing 1 take) only thru the built in mic to track 2 and 3. I checked again after I posted the note here and now I'm not sure if it did actually record in stereo. For sure it recorded to 2 and 3 but the "wide" effect didn't sound wide on playback leading me to believe that although it recorded to two and three, it wasn't actually stereo, merely two mono tracks played together. I haven't tried recording using the line in and built in mic at the same time, but I'll give it a go and let you know.
