| After your suggestion to buy your drum editor, I've had a scan and it looks just the ticket. BUT, being a bit of a computer-dunce I was wondering if you could explain how it works in terms of how the patterns created in the editor get transferred to the ps02. Do you download them to a new smart media card and, if so, does it erase the presets or any other of the ps02's original files and things. In short, is there any danger of it bollocksing up my beloved ps02? |

The pattern and songs are in one file songs.pts
You can save the original file and replace it with a new on.
A:
You get free new songs.pts files:
1. From the zoom homepage
(Rockset, Hiphopset, and some drums only sets)
2. From the pattern exchange page
http://www.cris.com/~outlawyr/zoetrope/zoom/pts.html
In both cases will ALL of the old pattern/songs be replaced by new ones.
But you can reload the original file.
B:
Build your own pattern with the PS02PatternEditor:
http://www.soundside.de/shop/ps02patterneditor.htm
In this case you can edit a single pattern or build your own pattern as you like.
Everything is in one file of the SmardMedia card.
To transfer this file from the PS02 to your PC (and back again) you need a SmardMedia Card Reader/Writer.
Hope to help. |

I understand a bit better now. So I need to get a reader/writer then I'll get the pattern editor.
Thanks,
