No sound from PS Pattern Editor February 14 2002 at 12:27 AM
Armin,
I just purchased the pattern editor after trying the demo version. I installed it, but when I ran the program there was no sound. I then tried to open the help but was unable to do so.
I would appreciate a solution to this problem.
Thanks.
Hello, as mentioned in the EMail you received from ShareIt:
1. Print out this
2. Deinstall the old version
3. start the *.msi file
4. insert the serial number (EMail)
5. close all programs !!!!!
(debuggers, hexeditors - even the notepad !)
6. start the PS02PatternEditor
7. The PatternEditor will ask for:
Username:
Password:
PS02 SN :
(insert this exactly as provided by EMail)
(Maybe stepp 5 was the problem ?)

Ups, forget to answer the second question:
The helpfile cant be opend directly. Its not a real helpfile - just plain text. You can open it with the PS02PatternEditor or any Editor (e.g. Notepad).
Armin,
thank you for the prompt reply. I had work and Valentines day to deal with yesterday so I couldn't deal with the problem. However, this morning I did as you suggested and everything is ok.
I wish you all the best with this venture and again want to thank you for getting back to me so soon.

I must have "fat-fingered" the registration number (though I was very careful) also, because after following Armin's advice (unintall - reinstall), it works just great. After using the built in rhythms for a while, it sure is refreshing to program/build your own the way you want it to sound. Good job Armin!
