When you get better sound?
January 24 2002 at 9:35 AM

When you get better sound of guitar, bass etc. when recording directly to PS-02 and then converting to wav, or recording from output to line in of a soundcard. I know It is not a big difference but in order to make out the best of it...It seems to me that the sound taken directly from a smart card is clearer...What is your experience?

The PS02 has analog audio out, this means you'll lose quality when transferring from PS02 out to PC line in.
The cheaper the soundcard and leads, the worse the quality.

If you use the Zoom card manager software (download from www.zoom.co.jp) to transfer the PS02 data files to PC with a USB card reader or (for older PC's) a card reader like the Smartdisk FlashPath (www.smartdisk.com - this slots into the floppy drive) you'll get no loss of quality, because you're transferring digital data.

This also gives you the additional advantage of having a backup of your songs / sounds on PC in the event of a card failure
