You need to download the Card Manger from the Zoom website - this has a facility to export aud files as wav files and to re import them.

Card Manager will allow you to convert each track to a wav file. You would then need to use some mult-track type software to put it back together again. The standard method of feeding your music into the computer is simply with a cable from your headphones (low volume first) to the line-in on your soundcard. Then just pick your recording software.

Which of the sound editing software seems to be the best. I have heard about Soundforge, Goldwave(?) and a few others. Also are these free and where do you get them?

You can use either CoolEdit or Goldwave. Although shareware, I think both allow you to use them in demo mode and you should be able to export them as MP3 files.

You don't need them to be MP3 to burn to CD ? WAV files can be burnt to CDs using the standard software that comes with your CD writer.
