i was wondering if i could record my entire band with this thing? like one at a time. could i record us all together at the same time then record one at a time and bounce the tracks?and then get rid of the first recording of us all? i dont own a ps02 but i am saving and that would be great if i could not only record my self but also my band. thanks

Sure you can record your entire band. There are a few ways to do this:
-mic everyone and run it into a mixer. Take the stereo outs from the mixer and into the ps02. adjust the levels to get an even mix and record live...

-make a quick click track on the ps02 then record each instrument seperately, bouncing tracks as needed to free up additional tracks. This will probably result in the cleanest recording BUT you have to be careful with your levels when bouncing because something that sounds 'just right' now, may seem too quiet later and you cant go back to adjust the levels.

these are just a few quick tips. hope things work out. if you get anything recorded, be sure to post the mp3 so others can marvel

I recorded my band in rehearsal with the built in mic and the results were pretty good.

Take one of the vocal mic presets, cut the reverb, flatten the eq and lower the program level (15 worked ok for us) place a mike roughly in the centre of the room and plug it into the ps02 and you're away.
You can use the built in mic but you have more freedom of positioning with an external one.
