How shock proof December 5 2001 at 1:10 PM | Andy R

| Odd one for you...
I'm thinking of getting a PS-02 to around with.
Some effects processer first (GT-6 probably) then into the PS-02.
BUT I may also use it for other recording that would need the unit to be fairly shock proof.
Basically it'll be strapped to the inside of a car engine bay (don't ask me why I need to do this!) and driven around for 10 minutes to record the engine at various revs.
Do you think it'll hold up or just fall into a steaming pile of bits ?
thanks

Use a mic in the engin compartment that will stand the heat. You'll need a good shock mount anyway, else you get nothing but the sound of the mic getting banged around (same would be true of mounting the PS02 in there anyway). Keep the expensive PS0s safe and sound in the passenger seat next to you.
