Well, they say that 'the more the merrier', so I've decided to post my own PS-02 forum.
I will be posting patches and other information in the forum as time goes on and will probably build a FAQ and other resources as time permits. While I don't encourage anyone to stop visiting the great sites that are already in existance such as this one, I'd like to offer a new site to round out the offerings.
Please visit www.ax84.com/ps02bbs to access the PS-02 Discussion forum at AX84.com. There is also a great tube amp forum and tons of resources on that subject at AX84.com.
Is this really a good idea? its just that we cant afford to 'breakup' the small community we've built up here... also, it will be really annoying to have to jump from board to board. There was another ps02 forum on yahoo but that sorta died out eventually too.
Maybe the answer would be to start an ps02 webpage, complete with soundfiles, faqs, patches, downloads, and an internal message board...
just a thought

Its real annoying to me to have the forum down about 50% of the time I try to access it. I already have a domain and server that is really a better set up than the free hosting deal.

BTW, I think this is a great resource, and I don't want to damage it. I'm hoping to add to the PS-02 community rather than take away from it. I'm hoping some of my tube amp friends will see the PS-02 things as interesting too and make the short hop from another part of AX84.com. We've had over 200,000 hits in the last couple of years, so we see some traffic over there.

Just my opinion here,
I don't think you have anything to worry about in terms of "fragmenting the community". Online communities are built through exactly this kind of action - people who feel passionately about something going out and building something.
Just like DIY tube amps (I'm one those folks from the AX84 board who's getting interested in the PS-02 thanks to Chris's posts), DIY web communities are generally something to be more proud of than a "free" web-hosting .com startup out to make money. Free services often fold, and when they do it's usually very suddenly and all your history of posted messages -- all that accumulated knowledge is gone. Poof! I don't mean to be overly negative, just realistic. I'll take DIY anyday.

Good point! It would just be cool to keep everything somewhat centralized... Ive noticed problems with the network 54 boards too.
