Just got one yesterday. It rocks, but can you fastforward?
November 10 2001 at 11:23 AM

I am jamming like a mofo. Multitracking layers of acoustic guitar thru the built in mic, and adding vocals and the sound is very good for such a small unit and tiny mic, but is it possible to fastworward rather than listen to the whole song (6 minutes) before choosing a point to punch in?

Thanks!
Monk

'Sappinin Monk?

Welcome to the club! Now I'm not the newest one here!

Here's what you do:

1. Press the '>' cursor button until 'Audio' is lit.

2. Press 'Play/Pause' to start the thing.

3. Press 'Play/Pause' again to pause it.

4. Check out the little numbers in the upper right of
the screen. That's the play counter in MIN & sec.

5. Press the '^' or 'v' cursor keys to advance or
retard (that's me!) the play counter.

6. Press 'Play/Pause' again and it'll start from there.
'Careful though! If you run the play counter past
the end of the audio, it'll jump back to the
beginning.

In step 6, you can also press record, or 'edit,PI/O' to
do the respective operations.

Another cool thing is that if you have a rhythm track,
you can cursor over to 'rhythm' (in step 1, or any
other time) and advance the song pointer in units of
measures.

Hope this helps!
