PS-02 functional..
November 9 2001 at 1:59 PM

Hi guys I've listened to some of the MP3's, some are impressive, what's the learning curve like. When I go into a shop to demo how can I navigate it in that environment, to get a feel. I also noticed no vocals on some of the most recent MP's, with out the vocals it sort of sounds like a jam tool and not a writing tool, which is what I'm looking for..coming down from a D-16, which I know it can not be replaced by the PS-02, I'm looking to write quickly with some fidelity and mood, not a jam pad.

Well, if you have something to write, I see no reason why the PS-02 wouldn't be a great tool as long as you could constrain the sketchpadding to a few tracks.

If you go in a store, its easy to fiddle with. Use the controls to cursor over to 'song', up/down until you find an empty song. cursor over to audio and then use the up/down arrows to find the effect patch you want. If you want to use the mic, you need to go to a patch that uses the mic (vocals or acoustic guitar AG) and press the mic button.

When you want to record, hit record. Use the up down arrows to select a track to record to. Press stop when you're done...
