Only mono recording?

| I just noticed that when I hit the record key the headphones go to mono mode, regardless of if I have a single track selected (1,2,or 3) or stereo tracks (2,3).
Is there any way to get it to record the nice juicy stereo effects you can cook up with this?

set track 2 hard left(10L) and track 3 hard right(10R) or visa versa. Now hit the record button and select record track 2/3 and you'll notice the difference.
