but I am (*ing sick to death of idiots coming in here and saying how much better the boss is than the PS-02. Why come here just to slag of the competition I don't visit BR-532 websites so I don't see why these people feel the need to "advertise" for roland. We are all humans with brains we can see what will best suit us by researching each product carefully.

What is this?

Hi guys!
Is this the "clash of products"?
I didnīt ever see a Les Paul player posting hate-mails on the Fender homepage.
I just hope nobody posts crap like FedUpīs comment on a br-532 forum. There are more important things going on right now.

Great news: You can buy whatever you want and enjoy it. The reason we are here is to talk about the Zoom PS-02. Get it?

ps02 / br532. Apples and oranges. Br532 is a big chunk of plastic where the ps02 is little piece of plastic. the reason why I suggest against a br532 is because of its' application. think of this- the ps02 is advertised for its portability (portastudio). No argument there. It's not advertised for it's high quality recordings, whatever whatever. It's portable, and you can take it on live and strap it to your belt. You can also record ideas, though not CD quality.
Think of the br532. You can't strap it on your belt and go live with this thing. It is not much for live applications, but it is for recording. If we are going to try to boast about high quality recordings, 16-bit 44,100 isn't something to explode over.
I don't know about you, but I'd rather invest my $500 and get a 24-bit 96kHz sound card and a digital audio program(like soundforge). With effective dithering techniques people have been able to squeeze 20-bit sound on 16-bit cd's. Once again, think about the applications of the two.
If I want something portable that I can take to a gig, something that I can record ideas on the fly- I'm going to get a ps-02.
If I want high quality recording with more tracks, I'm going to get a 24-bit soundcard and software. Not a 532.
