I bought the PS-02 this weekend. I see the BEATON patch is a Vox emulation. How should I tweak this patch to get sort of an early Beatles tone? Thanks!

What kind of guitar do you have? If it has switchable pickups, which switch position are you using. There are a lot of variables here, all of which effect the final sound. I'd say spend a weekend playing around with it. Pick one Beatles song, stick it on the CD player, and try to match the sound.

I have a Epiphone Les Paul Standard and a Fender American Strat. I have the Beatles complete scores book (which is awesome) and I've decided to start with some early Beatles tunes (which are simpler arrangements). I have most of their music on CD or mp3 and I am a big fan so I know how the songs are supposed to sound. I play a lot of other different music too, but I thought this would be a good way to learn how to record multiple tracks of music on my PS-02. I'm a real beginner at this home recording stuff. I was working on "Please Please Me" this weekend using the ELP on the neck p/u. I rolled back the volume on the guitar to about "6" to clean up what sounded like distortion on the bass strings in my headphones. I was using the BEATON patch. It was sounding pretty close to the CD but still maybe a bit boomier than the original. Any suggestions on how to tweak to get even closer? Should I be using the strat in a single coil position? I thought George played a Rickenbocker guitar at that time. I don't know about John? Were those single coil guitars?

Thanks for responding!
